The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard was founded to transform medicine with genomic knowledge. Fintan Steele, Ph.D., is Director of Communications for the Broad Institute. Prior to joining Broad, he was Global Head of Communications for the Novartis Institute for BioMedical Research. He has served as an editor at several scientific publications, including Nature Medicine, The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Genomics, and Molecular Therapy. Fintan earned is doctorate in Genetics/Biological Sciences in 1990 from the University of Notre Dame, and completed post-doctoral studies at the National Eye Institute/NIH, and the Johns Hopkins Medical School. He is married to Scott Beard, and lives in Medford, MA.
